Sew a Reversible Tote

In this 3-hour class we will make a reversible tote with a bow using Rae's Bow Tote sewing pattern. The pattern will be provided in the class. Whether you are just beginning sewing or you are a more confident sewist who wants an easy project to make in an evening, this class is for you. Bring your prewashed and pressed fabric and we'll sew a tote together!

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner to Confident (ages 16+)

This is a great project if you have taken our How to Sew class and would like a skill-building class. All of the skills in this class can be applied to garment sewing. For this class you must be able to sew a straight seam, backtack, and understand seam allowance.

How to box a corner
Patch pockets
Turning a point

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Studio sewing machines and sample fabric for practice are provided.
Basic sewing kit: scissors, snips, seam ripper, pins, rulers, chalk
Bow Tote Sewing Pattern

WHAT TO BRING:

Woven cotton, linen or cotton-linen blend fabric, prewashed, dried and pressed before class begins, and coordinating thread.

Fabric requirements:
1 yard each (44" wide or 54" wide) of TWO fabrics 
OR
1.5 yards of 54" fabric / 2 yards of 44" fabric of ONE fabric

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

If you need to cancel, please contact the studio as soon as possible. Cancellations more than 3 days before the class starts will receive credit towards a future class. Cancellations less than 3 days are non-refundable. Each class must have at least three participants in order to run. Marengo Studio reserves the right to cancel this class if we do not have enough participants (you will be notified of a cancellation at least 48 hours ahead of the class start and may choose a full refund or credit towards a future class).
